We are looking for a part-time Marketing Coordinator to join our team. This role requires an organized, creative, self-starter who is project-oriented with the ability to determine strategy and carry projects through to completion. About the House Institute Foundation (HIF) The effects of hearing and neurological disorders are far-reaching. They can affect a person\xe2\x80\x99s ability to function at home, school, and work. It can also impact self-esteem, social interactions, and overall quality of life. The World Health Organization estimates that by 2050, 1 in 10 people will have disabling hearing loss. That is 2.5 BILLION people worldwide. The House Institute Foundation\xe2\x80\x99s dedicated researchers, faculty, and staff are determined to change that. At HIF, we have a simple mission: ear and neuroscience research, education, and global hearing health \xe2\x80\x9cso all may hear.\xe2\x80\x9d We research hearing and neurological diseases, educate the next generation of talented physicians and audiologists, share resources with the general public, and participate in humanitarian efforts to tackle the global rise of hearing loss. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage monthly scheduling for HIF\xe2\x80\x99s social media accounts using Hootsuite
  • Draft compelling copy for social media posts that aligns with HIF branding and tone
  • Design and schedule email marketing content
  • Gather and edit visual content as needed
  • Work closely with the Associate Director of Marketing and Communications on campaigns and branding to maintain the voice of the House Institute Foundation across all platforms
  • Stay up to date with marketing trends and best practices, especially in the hearing-related space. Make recommendations to the Associate Director of Marketing and Communications
Qualifications
  • A college junior, senior, or recent graduate with an interest in health and philanthropic work
  • Coursework in marketing, communications, journalism, creative writing, public relations, or related field preferred
  • Excellent writing, research, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • A desire to dive in and learn about hearing-related health, ear conditions, and advocacy
  • Self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Ability to be self-directed and intrinsically motivated
  • A critical thinker with an attuned aesthetic And design sense
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Agility in the face of challenges and an openness to shifting responsibilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with social media platforms and scheduling software such as hootsuite
  • Adobe Creative Cloud a plus
Compensation It is expected that interns will contribute 18-25 hours per week, from May1st to June 30th. This job does have the possibility of becoming full time. This job is 90% remote, with the option of using office space in DTLA if desired. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to become an integral part of a team of dynamic professionals who will leverage their skill set, provide mentorship and direction, encourage ideation, and support their growth and transition to being a young professional.
