Job Description

Actalent is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer near the Chattanooga, TN area. The role will support Plant Engineering with equipment installation projects, troubleshooting, cost reduction initiatives, new technology implementation, as well as support paint department manufacturing needs.

Responsibilities:

Communicate technical planning and issues with team.

Interact with Engineers, maintenance members, peers, and supervisors, regarding specialty projects and initiatives on a daily basis.

Manage daily schedule to key performance indicator optimization.

Procure necessary materials and equipment for project timely completion.

Harmonize corrective measures across the plant.

Use predictive tools to eliminate parameter specification fluctuation.

Quality and Downtime performance tracking and reporting.

Supplier interaction and trial development.

Ongoing problem solving with technical support to production group.

Interaction with German support team.

Benchmark best practice standards and ideas for implementation.

Organize special activity for trials and new process implementation.

Oversee Capital projects and budgets relating to them.

Energy and cost reduction activities.

Continuous improvements in Conveyors and operations.

Requirements:

Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering

1+ years of experience (ideally in automotive)

Strong communication skills

Ability to manage projects
