What you\xe2\x80\x99ll be doing

As a member of the Commercial Banking team, you\xe2\x80\x99ll build lasting relationships with business owners and executives throughout the country to help them realize their ambitions.

Reporting to the Head of C&I Syndications, the Loan Syndications Sales and Origination Director or Executive Director will be responsible for supporting the Commercial and Industrial Line of business in originating new CIBC led syndicated transactions. This professional will have specific coverage areas(geography or industry) as well as P&L responsibility within the group. Additionally, this professional will also be responsible for cultivating and maintaining co-lender relationships.

How you\xe2\x80\x99ll succeed

Relationship building \xe2\x80\x93 You will grow and develop relationships not only internally but externally, too. You\xe2\x80\x99ll develop a co-lender investor base, including expanding existing and adding new lenders. You\xe2\x80\x99ll build external brand awareness in the syndication market.

Teamwork \xe2\x80\x93 You\xe2\x80\x99ll work in tandem with Portfolio Managers and Underwriters to ensure consistent syndications coverage. You\xe2\x80\x99ll collaborate and help to enhance the syndication platform & offerings.

Production \xe2\x80\x93 Your performance will be based heavily off of your revenue gerneation, fee generation and identificaiton on new co-lenders.

You can demonstrate experience in commercial banking with 10 \xe2\x80\x93 15 years of experience (syndication experience preferred). You have a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Finance or Accounting.

Qualifications:

- 10 to 20 years of experience

- 30-50% travel required for position

- Capital markets and synidications experience is a plus
