Overview
Join the Office of Professional Regulation! Seeking a capable professional to join a highly skilled workforce that manages over 50 professions. This position will be responsible for several of OPRs mental health professions which are extremely complex and detail oriented. The ideal candidate will have experience with user database systems, Vermont law or other regulatory environments, have high attention to detail, patience, and exceptional customer service skills. The candidate should enjoy working in an environment of continual improvement, routine policy updates, and juggling multiple demands. If you enjoy working with a high degree of independence to manage your own portfolio of dedicated responsibilities, this may be the job for you. This position will start fully in person and have the option to work a hybrid schedule of 50% remote and 50% in office.

Process license applications for multiple professions, evaluating complex qualifications as required by statute. Coordinate as appropriate with supervisors, peers, counsel, and professional boards/advisors to assure consistent processes. Organize and distribute materials in a timely manner respectful of Open Meeting Laws. Support a team environment where common tasks are shared across distinct portfolio responsibilities.

Environmental Factors
Work is generally performed in a standard office setting, but some travel may be necessary for which private means of transportation should be available. Some work outside of normal work schedule may be required. There may be pressure from deadlines as well as dealing with people who are frustrated or upset.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent AND two (2) years or more experience performing administrative-level duties for a project, program, operation, business or organization.
Administrative duties are those beyond general clerical or secretarial, such as interpretation of laws, rules and regulations; data collection and analysis; managing support services; and implementing program policies and procedures.
