The Facilities, Safety & Security Division (FSS) of Denver Human Services is seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as the Security Compliance & Training Administrator.

The Security Compliance & Training Administrator:

  • Performs a variety of comprehensive and technical administrative activities which includes providing leadership and technical expertise
  • Develops DHS campus site specific training, prepares lesson plans, and conducts training, in person, through recorded sessions, or in a classroom setting
  • Manages the development and implementation of performance criteria for the contract and evaluates the security guard contract\xe2\x80\x99s performance in meeting these goals and objectives
  • Develops and implements policies, procedures, business practices, and control mechanisms, reviews status of operations, modifies and implements procedures to increase operating efficiency, and determines effectiveness of desired results
  • Communicates, cooperates and coordinates with the City Security Office in matters of contract compliance
  • Develops strategies to ensure compliance with regulations and requirements of the security guard contract, monitors and assesses compliance, and makes recommendations for improvements
  • Administers the financial operations of the security guard contracts including monitoring financial activities, audits of contract invoicing, developing required budget reports, and preparing fiscal reports showing the financial status of operations for the review by departmental managers
  • Prepares comprehensive reports describing the progress towards goals and objectives and the overall accomplishments of the security guard contracts
  • By position, performs some or all of the elements of supervision or lead work including work planning, instruction, and review, handling grievances and disciplinary actions, hiring and dismissing employees, and evaluating employee performance
  • Serves in the rotation as DHS Duty Officer


About You

We are looking for a reliable and positive self-starter who thrives in leading specialized areas providing exceptional administration. Our ideal candidate will also have some or all of the following:
  • Experience with government regulations, knowledge of various types of contracts, and contract administration
  • Shows respect for the views and contributions of other team members, shows empathy, listens, supports, and cares for others, and reconciles conflict
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent attendance, excellent time management and decision-making skills
  • Desire for continuous process improvement with the ability to take direction and work as part of a team to achieve a common goal
  • Experience with video surveillance software and the S2 access control system.

  • Education: Bachelor\'s Degree in a related field based on a specific position(s).
  • Experience: Three (3) years\xe2\x80\x99 experience performing full performance professional level duties within a specialized, functional area. (This does not include clerical experience.)
  • Education & Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of posthigh school education
  • Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements

Position Salary Range $63,801.00 - $105,272.00

Starting Pay Although our full pay range is included above, the budgeted hiring range for this position is $63,801 - $84,536 per year.
