Resp & Qualifications

PURPOSE:
The Lead Financial Analyst oversees various financial functions such as budgeting, auditing, forecasting and analysis. Provides financial support to the business, including but not limited to revenue recognition, subcontractor financial management, At Risk coordination, forecasting, variance analysis, invoice preparation/review and cash flow management (to include timely unbilled analysis/reconciliations). Interfaces regularly with business area directors and Executive leadership, and Finance Division managers and directors. Supports large and/or complex projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Plans and produces various financial reports. Analyzes trends, calculates and verifies data. Interfaces with other areas to develop reporting specifications, methods and procedures, and prioritizes requests. Recommends, implements and documents changes to accounting workflow and controls when appropriate. Ensures proper cost allocations in accordance with corporate guidelines.

Develops, coordinates, analyzes and verifies data and financial reports to produce the financial Plan and administrative expense budget for all areas of Strategy and Emerging Business. Creates and manages a database for Plan reporting. Develops specifications needed to generate statistics, develops methods and procedures for calculating data and presenting results.

Responds to manager, director, and executive inquiries, handles special requests, researches complex business & accounting issues. Communicates with corporate management on accounting/financial processes and regulatory requirements. Prepares financial data and reports for presentation to upper management.

Gathers, compiles and interprets information collected through financial analyses in order to identify trends and provide recommendations and insight for decision making.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Position does not have direct reports but is expected to assist in guiding and mentoring less experienced staff. May lead a team of matrixed resources.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Level: Bachelor\'s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, related field or equivalent technical training OR in lieu of a Bachelor\'s degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Experience: 8 years demonstrated progressively responsible work experience in finance accounting or quantitative analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP accounting rules.
  • CPA licensure and/or MBA.
  • Experience with Oracle Financial and Hyperion applications
  • Advanced Skills in Excel & Powerpoint
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Healthcare and/or Insurance industry knowledge
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
  • Proficient with financial analysis software (i.e.Oracle E-Business Suite Financials).
  • Comfortable with presenting financial results.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in creating and managing a budget
Salary Range: $75,960 - $150,865
