Talascend is currently seeking an IT Support Technician for a contract opportunity in Kansas City, Missouri.

SUMMARY:
The IT Support Technician will assist internal employees and contractors with the delivery of multiple Information Technology offerings, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, customer commitment, sense of urgency, and continuous improvement. Our team is growing, join us.

• Assist with installation, repair and replacement of computer and computer-related hardware.
• Assist with troubleshooting and installation of Windows, Microsoft Office, and other standard software packages.
• Ensure accurate inventory of devices and their assignment to users through detailed documentation in ticketing system.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolution of Audio Visual (AV) related issues, including coordination with AV integration partners on hardware warranty, control system programming, or cabling issues.
• Assist with AV support during presentations and company-sponsored events
• Assist with business relations activities with staff and management for feedback or user integration.
• Assist with IT processes for daily and project-based activities.
• Assist with support for customers in a variety of locations via phone, video, e-mail, and in-person to resolve issues.
• Assist with incidents assigned from other IT groups or non IT sources.
• Assist with identifying and documenting accurate resolution steps for reoccurring issues in knowledgebase
• Assist with training and education to employees on usage of IT systems
• Participate in Problem and Change Management processes as necessary.

• This position requires a self-starter with proactive initiative, excellent follow through on tasks, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Technical expertise in desktops, workstations, laptops and other IT peripheral devices required.
• Customer service skills are a must.
• Detail oriented, able to thoroughly document.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office suite.
• A+ certification and other certifications a plus.

• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor\'s degree is a plus.

• Between $18- $28 an hour depending upon experience.
