Job Description


Care Partners is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provides support services to users of the organization\xe2\x80\x99s computer systems and networks in collaboration with an outside Information Technology vendor along with supporting other areas such as supply management, staff scheduling and general office operations. As IT Support Specialist with Care Partners, you play a key role on our team, in our community and for our clients. Ensuring continuous electronic access for staff to complete their work and handling key clerical functions for our 50-employee organization is essential to maintaining our goal. Our goal at Care Partners is to maximize the comfort and health of patients and families consistent with hospice philosophy along with the organization\xe2\x80\x99s policies and procedures. Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain understanding of user needs and intermediate level of knowledge of functionality and organizational usage of various hardware and software resources that include electronic medical records, pharmacy applications, password security tools, laptops, iPads, cell phones, and other electronic tools as well as technology vendors applicable to Care Partners.
  • Provide timely support to users by problem solving and troubleshooting user issues to ensure excellence in patient care delivery, including coordinating fixes for vendor outages, identifying, and providing resources for hardware and software issues, and continuously improving resources for independent problem-solving for users when possible.
  • Prepare hardware and software for users to ensure proper configuration of and appropriate installation checklists for all electronic devices used in-office, in the field and at home.
  • Maintain a record of all hardware distributed to users along with gathering deployed hardware from employees who separate from Care Partners.
  • Provide account access to users, maintain detailed records related to user access, and ensure removal of account access for all users who separate.
  • Assist the clinical staff in learning and following the admissions processes.
  • Provide 1:1 training to new users or for new products as needed. Including developing job aides to ensure and facilitate independence in resolving basic IT issues that may arise.
  • Maintain records for Business Associate Agreements with technology vendors and manage their renewals and expirations.
  • Build and maintain a variety of tools designed for staff training, onboarding, and instructions to solve common technology problems.
  • Organize and maintain information technology supplies in a secure environment.
  • Perform research on potential hardware or software options, perform testing as necessary, and implement new programs as directed.
  • Prepare hardware for disposal by wiping device and removing access in a timely matter along with maintaining relationships with hardware to be donation centers for reuse.
  • Perform problem-solving with clinical team and leadership as needed to resolve concerns timely and appropriately
  • This role is a part of the Quality and Compliance team and provides support for administrative and clerical duties such as answering phones, taking meeting minutes, managing the medical and office supplies inventory, making staff scheduling entries and assisting with recordkeeping needs
Qualifications:
  • Must have a minimum of one year of experience in a technical support role that includes having performed work in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues for users.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite, Excel, SharePoint, Adobe suite preferred
  • Must have demonstrated experience working independently with minimal supervision while delivering effective and on-time results.
  • Requires the ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously while maintaining professional composure and positive approaches, including demonstrated organization and prioritization skills to set priorities and manage workload.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be reliable and dependable in completing assignments within deadline, with strong attention to detail and accuracy in results.
  • This position requires the ability to stoop and bend and to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Associates degree in information technology related field or equivalent in combination of education and work experience is preferred. Students are welcome!
Schedule: This is an in-office part-time position, 20 hours a week, with the usual hours falling within the 8AM-5PM, M-F, schedule. *Preferred applicant will be asked to pass a background check and drug screen following a job offer.*
