As a QA Specialist, you will help achieve the agency goal of enabling DOR to operate efficiently and effectively. Your skills will help manage the division\xe2\x80\x99s QA emphasis, in order to provide high quality technical solutions. Your QA tasks will include:
  • Ensure department IT quality assurance (QA) practices, processes, and procedures are well-conceived so that the Division of Technology Services (DTS) implements high quality systems that support the work of DOR.
  • Develop and execute test cases, and test scripts, reviewing and analyzing system specifications, working with the development team in performing QA analysis, and striving to continually learn and understand latest software testing methodologies and tools.
  • Making the department\xe2\x80\x99s testing efforts more efficient through the use of an automated testing tool (i.e., Selenium).

Salary Information





Salary for this IS Systems Development Services Senior position (schedule-range 07-34) is $57,366 to $72,800 annually ($27.58 to $35.00 hourly), depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits. Current state employees pay will be based on the provisions in the Compensation Plan. A twelve-month probationary period is required.

Job Details





The Department of Revenue will conduct criminal background, tax compliance checks and fingerprint checks on candidates prior to offer of hire. Interview results may be reused in accordance with the State of WI interview reuse policy.

Qualifications





Minimum qualified candidates will have experience in each of the following:
  • Developing software testing plans.
  • Conducting software testing.
  • Conducting IT QA processes utilizing one automated software testing tool.
  • Communicating on the progress of projects/testing with interested parties.
Well qualified candidates will have experience in a minimum of two of the following (in addition to the minimum qualifications):
  • Experience using SQL.
  • Experience using JavaScript.
  • Conducting IT QA processes utilizing two or more automated software testing tools; OR utilized Selenium.
