Job Description



Under the direction of the Clinical Informatics Lead, the IT EMR Support Specialist will support providers and other team members ensuring that information systems are functioning properly and continually looking for ways to make improvements to these systems. The role will be responsible for educating staff members on how to effectively use EMR & Core agency systems, assist with report writing and running, on-going training, and assist with technical issues. The IT EMR Support Specialist will provide technical support and systems development services in support of the information services, office automation, and data processing functions of the agency. The incumbent will perform routine operations and system administration tasks on the central host systems, perform various installations, including software and apps at all office locations as needed. This position will also provide essential support services associated with key data base systems that interact across organizational lines. Office automations responsibilities will include creating training material and real time training of personnel in the use of systems features as they specifically relate to the organization\xe2\x80\x99s implementation of word processing spreadsheets, database software, and agency workflows.   • High school diploma or GED required. BA in Computer Science or similar field preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate communication, presentation, collaboration, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of resource management, IT support, and report writing utilizing Business Intelligence Software.
  • Must have a strong background in computer science, specifically as relates to the concepts of software, hardware, cloud, and mobile installation and support, preferably in Windows 10, iOS, Android, and Azure.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, database, and SharePoint administration. Demonstrated ability to achieve results on an operational level.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and activities on a routine basis with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to learn additional software applications and new hardware.
