About the Position

The Office of Procurement\'s Division of Central Services seeks an to handle the day-to-day IT operations. This position is ideal for data-driven individuals who are passionate about technology, problem solving, and bringing ideas to fruition. This position will perform a variety of routine IT duties relating to technical support, project management, application development, troubleshooting, and database management.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Strong experience designing, building, and configuring web applications utilizing tools such as CSS, HTML, jQuery, Bootstrap, and .NET to meet business process and requirements.
  • Expert knowledge of relational databases and creating stored procedures.
  • Ability to develop, troubleshoot, and deploy database T-SQL scripts.
  • Evaluate new IT developments and evolving business requirements and recommend appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems.
  • Strong experience with SharePoint fundamentals such as sites (classic, modern), apps, audiences, libraries, lists, views, forms, workflows, sub-sites, and web parts.
  • Knowledge of MS Power Apps/Power BI/Power Automate often in conjunction with SharePoint.
  • Apply innovative techniques and seasoned judgment to assist staff in identifying areas where IT systems can reduce or eliminate labor and time intensive manual processes.
  • Resolve helpdesk requests.
  • Manage IT hardware/software resources.
  • Fulfill other duties and responsibilities assigned by the immediate supervisor to fit within the scope of the job classification.
This position will be the go-to person within the Oracle Purchasing Module for enterprise-wide guidance.

The successful candidate is detail-oriented, independent, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet all deadlines. The incumbent must have proven organizational skills and excellent written and oral communication skills.

This position is telework eligible. The Office of Procurement allows eligible staff to work two days on-site and three days from home. The anticipated hiring salary range for this position is: $76,394 - $99,618.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience: Three (3) years of professional experience in the information technology field in such areas as programming, database administration, and/or web development.

Education: Bachelor\'s degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited college or university.

Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. For applicants possessing very hard-to-find skills which are a critical need to the department/agency, training and certification may be accepted in lieu of full degree requirements.

Physical Ability: Ability to lift boxes containing computer support items and equipment such as printers, computers, modems, and monitors weighing up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Criteria

There are no preferred criteria for this position. Procurement will review all applicants for minimum qualifications and eligibility. Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications will be moved to the Eligible List with a rating of qualified and may receive an interview invitation.

  • Interest in learning and developing skill in: Automation, Machine Learning, Predictive Analytics, Artificial Intelligence.
