Purpose of Position
Interviews are anticipated to be conducted within two weeks of closing.
Why does the job exist?
This customer centric role updates criminal history information, arrest fingerprint cards, dispositions, and demographics. Position perform administrative duties or tasks such as: filing, data-entry, quality control, processing applicant-fingerprint supported background checks, responding to public requests for accident, incident reports, fielding phone calls, providing information, cashier responsibilities, and records management.
How does it get done?
This position will maintain compliance in records processing, maintenance and dissemination in accordance with Federal and State statutory requirements; will generate and compile reports used for accident reports and criminal history reports, and provide fingerprint services to to applicants that are statutorily required to have fingerprint backgrounds.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
Experience exercising good judgment, problem solving, attention to detail, and making reliable decisions
using critical thinking.
Experience working in a team environment.
Public Speaking experience.
Strong organizational skills.
Minimum Qualification

Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver\'s License, a current Defensive Driving Course Certification from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment.
Continued employment is subject to a national fingerprint-based records check within 30 days of assignment and contingent upon remaining felony free, per Section 5.12.1.1 of the Criminal Justice Information Systems Security Policy.
Working Conditions
State of New Mexico employees may be impacted by the Public Health Order dated December 19, 2022, which requires facilities licensed or certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services ("CMS"), including all hospital types, long-term care facilities, nursing homes, hospice facilities and rehabilitation facilities, as well as assisted living facilities and adult day care settings, to adhere to all COVID-related requirements prescribed by CMS, including, but not limited to masking and staff vaccination.
Work is performed in an office setting within a law enforcement environment, with significant sitting, exposure to confidential information and armed personnel, extensive computer usage, and high volume data flow.
