A Higher Education company is looking to add to their expanding team with a Human Resources Assistant. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter eager to grow their career within their field. Thrive in a stimulating work environment as you handle a variety of personnel related administrative tasks, as well as provide clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures. Offered on a short-term contract / temporary to hire basis, this HR Assistant position is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in the industry within the Tuskegee, Alabama area.
Your responsibilities
- Oversee office and administrative tasks
- Explore the internet to uncover potential customers
- Assist in new employee on-boarding orientation planning
- Maintain employee database records
Requirements
- Approachable and appropriate behavior when interacting with personnel at all levels in a quickly changing environment
- Accomplished in office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
- Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
- At least 2+ years of HR related experience desired
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
- HR Policy experience preferred
- Proven knowledge of Answering Inbound Calls
- HR compliance experience
- Experience with Human Resources (HR) Administration
- Professional Phone Etiquette experience desired
- Well-founded grasp of Email Correspondence
- Expertise in customer service
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and exercise good judgment and discretion in handling and disseminating information
