Robert Half currently has an outstanding opportunity for a highly-skilled and motivated Human Resources Assistant. The Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for handling a number of different personnel related administrative tasks and will provide clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures. Based in the Stony Point, New York area, this is a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity.
Major responsibilities
- Manage employee database records
- Be in charge of administrative and office responsibilities
- Research the internet to locate potential customers
- Assist with planning new employee orientation meetings
Requirements
- Skilled with office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
- Capability to interact with all levels of staff in a rapidly quickly changing environment while maintaining an approachable and appropriate demeanor
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Microsoft Word experience preferred
- Solid understanding of Word Documents
- Prior experience handling confidential business matters and information with discretion
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
