GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
As a Human Resources (HR) Generalist, you will be a strategic business partner within the employee relations department. This role performs a broad selection of HR duties as well as administration functions with a primary goal of elevating the collective function of the employee relations team. The HR Generalist will partner closely with HR Business Partners and other HR colleagues to support the advancement of Employee Relations strategies and solutions that are aligned with short and long-term organization and operational goals.
TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:
1. Track and analyze turnover trends and help identify a responsive retention strategy.
2. Responsible for COVID-19 related activities as required based on developing rules and regulations such as tracking COVID-19 positive cases, vaccination status, and reporting on same.
3. Serve as first level assessor of key policy violation indicators: Employment of Relatives, Background and Credit Checks.
4. Track critical process activities: training compliance, leave of absence, Performance Improvement Plans, employee handbook updates and acknowledgement.
5. Support interactive process through generation of letters and maintaining results of accommodation review committee in Excel spreadsheet.
6. Assist with New Hire orientation, presenting HR message and supporting paperwork as needed.
7. Ensure consistency in policy format.
8. Partner with HR Business Partners in support of Employee Engagement activities including reporting and tracking of action plan progress.
9. Process separation notifications and conduct exit interviews.
10. Track and process requests for personnel files and documents responsive to legal claims.
11. Coordinate employee anniversary and retirement recognition.
12. Participate in special projects and assignments and performs other duties as assigned.
ORGANIZATIONAL CONTACTS & RELATIONSHIPS:
1. INTERNAL: All levels of staff and management.
2. EXTERNAL: Legal counsel, and numerous vendors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. EDUCATION: Associates Degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
2. EXPERIENCE: Two years or more experience working in Human Resources field.
