Role and Responsibilities Reporting to the Director of HR, the PSOE HR Assistant will be self-motivated and able to perform a variety of administrative functions related to employment, data entry, and clerical support. They will develop deep operational knowledge of office and HR management. This position will be office-based and scheduled to work Monday-Friday 9 am - 2 pm plus attend monthly board meeting and other events as needed. Responsibilities Leadership:

  • Contribute to a strong operations team: serve on community committees; seek participation and involvement in the community with direction from the Network team
  • Act as a liaison to the Site based Manager of Operations on all Network functions.
  • Abide by all PSOE frameworks as approved by the CEO and as noted in the staff handbook.
  • Assume all roles as delegated for a variety of administrative functions for the purpose of managing the administrative workload more efficiently.
  • Maintain ongoing, consistent communication with PSOE leadership as noted in the school\xe2\x80\x99s leadership frameworks.
  • Utilize effective systems as delegated to manage the office, troubleshoot problems, and regularly evaluate workflow components.
Program planning and management
  • Assist in the implementation of the organization\'s operational programs and services.
  • Contribute to the organization\'s mission and reflect the priorities of the school.
  • Be prepared to assist in the planning, implementation, execution and evaluation of special projects.
Network planning and management
  • Maintain general office management functions including mail, scheduling meetings, complete work orders, perform routine clerical/secretarial/receptionist functions such as typing, filing, photocopying, scanning, etc.
  • Support the intake of new staff.
  • Be prepared to assist all staff with elements of orientation and organization.
  • Participate in fundraising activities as appropriate.
  • Ensure that sound bookkeeping and accounting procedures are followed.
  • Ability to reconcile network billing including credit card statements.
  • Coordinate, maintain, and generate Human Resources-related files and records.

Preferred Skills
  • Proficiency in modern business technology applications.

  • Knowledge of current community challenges and opportunities relating to the mission of the organization.

WORKING CONDITIONS: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. The Network team shares a co-work space. Local travel is expected. Working from an off-site location may be necessary. General office hours are from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
