General Ledger Accountant $56,160.00 to $62,192.00 annual ($27.00 to $29.90 per hour based on 2,080 work hours per year). FLSA exempt. This position is a professional position which involves various types of governmental accounting functions as related to municipal budgeting, municipal financial reporting, municipal financial planning, as well as knowledge of governmental accounting standards. Administers grant funding. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 1. Education and Experience: a. Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree from an accredited College or University with emphasis in Finance Administration, Business Administration, or Accounting, or related field; AND b. Four (4) years of direct, and progressively responsible experience in Finance Administration including two (2) years supervisory experience; c. The equivalent of eight (8) years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a related field, including a minimum of two (2) years\xe2\x80\x99 supervisory experience, may be considered. 2. Preferred experience includes three (3) or more years of government accounting experience; 3. Must possess and maintain a valid, New Mexico Class D driver\xe2\x80\x99s license, and be insurable by the City\xe2\x80\x99s vehicle insurance provider; 4. Must not have been convicted of a felony, domestic violence or any other crime involving moral turpitude Job Type: Full-time Pay: $56,160.00 - $62,192.00 per year Benefits:
