Job Summary:

The Fleet Manager oversees and maintains the organization\'s fleet of SUVs, trucks, and specialized vehicles.

Job Classification: Permanent, full-time employee with benefits Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 per year (Chloeta reserves the right to offer any candidate above or below the listed compensation amount based on experience or business needs.)
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Develops schedules and procedures for and ensures adherence to routine maintenance and non-routine repair of all vehicles in the company\'s fleet.
  • Collaborates with supervisors and staff to manage and reduce expenses such as those for fuel and labor costs.
  • Establishes a schedule for recommended replacement of fleet vehicles.
  • Drafts and presents reports on department operations and expenses.
  • Prepares and implements departmental budget.
  • Develops and enforces procedures, policies, and safety protocols for all fleet services staff.
  • Coordinates with vendors to ensure timely and cost effective upfitting of company vehicles.
  • Develops and maintains vendor relationships for fuel, maintenance and other essential services
  • Ensures compliance with Department of Transportation, state and local laws and regulations in coordination with the compliance department

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of fleet management and operations.
  • Extensive knowledge in DOT and OSHA compliance
  • Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prepare and adhere to a budget and to monitor and reduce expenses.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.


Education and Experience:
  • Required: Bachelor\'s Degree
  • Required: Five years of experience in fleet maintenance or repair with two years in a supervisory role required.
  • Required: Valid driver\'s license.
  • Preferred: Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree
  • Preferred: Azuga or other Fleet Management Software
  • License verification, education, and certifications must be provided at the time of application and can be emailed to certification@chloeta.com.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to access and navigate fleet parking lot and maintenance facilities.

Pre-employment Requirements:
This position may be contingent upon passing a security clearance, criminal background check, drug screen, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review, education verification, employment verification, and/or credit check after acceptance of an offer and prior to beginning work, due to the nature of the services Chloeta provides and the responsibilities of this position.

Drug and Alcohol Testing:
To enforce Chloeta\xe2\x80\x99s Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy, an employee or candidate could be subject to undergoing a drug screen and/or alcohol testing during or at the beginning of employment, reasonable suspicion, random, or post accident. Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA):
Under the FCRA, Chloeta may request a credit check during the onboarding process. A written authorization form will be required before obtaining credit records.

Emergency Response:
Every Chloeta employee has regular and recurring emergency management responsibilities, though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites. All positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official Duty Station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee\'s official Position Description (PD). Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.
