The Big Task The Fleet Manager will be responsible for overseeing Art Plumbing, Air Conditioning and Electric s fleet. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the sale and/or auction of used vehicles as at when due!
  • Update ServiceTitan with Trucks & Techs assigned
  • Accident reports, roadside assistance and follow ups
  • Coordinate the vehicle wrapping process
  • Inspect all company vehicles for cleanliness to meet company standards
  • Take preventive measure to ensure safety of vehicles and drivers.
  • Make sure vehicles are always ready and available to meet orders by scheduling and monitoring current trends in the industry, to enable forecasts.
  • Maintain electronic databases of sales, registration, inspections, and maintenance of fleet management.
  • Ensure fleet availability to meet all requests by scheduling, forecasting, and surveying current user trends.
  • Maintain knowledge and utilize all fleet information and user surveys to forecast new requirements.
  • Ensure vehicle registrations, insurance, and documentation regarding induction of new vehicles in existing fleet.
  • SunPass \xe2\x80\x93 order, install, track and remove as needed
  • GeoTabs and Vehicle Camera s - order, install, track and remove as needed
  • Oversee routine and ad hoc maintenance, obtain tags for new vehicles, and renew old ones to ensure schedule fleet management.
  • Monitor and ensure fleet operation in compliance with local and state rules and regulations.
  • Maintain and monitor data management system to organize fleets as per various schedules and requests.
  • Streamline and monitor fuel purchase system of WEX Fuel Cards and American Fuel deliveries for all vehicles and drivers.
  • Participate in various workshops and educational programs and maintain knowledge on all industry relevant publications.
  • Develop and implement standard operational standards to maintain vehicles by advocating best practices in industry.
  • Provide direction to department staff to regulate budget cycle requirements and control budgeting process.
  • Plan, process and execute vehicle purchase and vehicle replacement through efficient settlement.
  • Facilitate and implement corrective actions and capacity building to manage entire fleet to achieve company objectives.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Coordinate and prepare new vehicles for assigned departments and drivers.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse Manager for new vehicle stock as needed to get new vehicles out on the road withing the shortest amount of time.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse Manager for re-stocking and re-fitting of vehicles when turned over to new driver.
  • Fleet Operations at lowest possible cost per mile.
Competencies for Success
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, Access, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Advanced Excel knowledge
  • Must have a current valid operator s license class of license as needed for size of truck(s) needed to operate and must have good driving record.
  • Self-starter/resourceful - able to independently work, learn & plan with minimal guidance to drive tasks to conclusion
  • Experience with inventory management software
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with store teams, finance team and upper management
  • Ability to use financial metrics to accurately read and diagnose business performance. The ability to use all levers to maximize key performance metric outputs
  • Capable of learning on the fly with a focus on problem-solving
  • A self-motivated leader who is accountable for one s work
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when dealing with data
  • High degree of action orientation and strong negotiation skills

Physical demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus. Must hear and speak well enough to conduct business over the telephone or face to face for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds on occasion. WORK ENVIRONMENT This position will require working indoors and outdoors in various climate conditions ranging from very cold with rain to very hot and humid. This includes attics, crawl spaces, and confined locations. The employee may be called upon to be in customer or service production sites on an as need to basis. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work is primarily performed on the company premises, which, along with the company vehicles, are non-smoking areas. May occasionally be required to work on and make deliveries to customer job sites. There may be possible exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, moderate to high noise levels and/or moving mechanical parts. Typical workweek is four (4) to six (6) hour workdays five (5) days per week with regular weekend work, as well as early and/or late weekday meetings with customers, vendors and staff personnel as needed.
