• Responsible for all elements of the monthly close as it relates to overall marketing, including distribution of monthly and YTD spending reports, processing and analysis of new and existing accruals and tracking MTD marketing spend.

• Balance sheet reconciliations with flux analysis, including review of aged balances for assigned trade related balance sheet accounts.

• Review accruals and analysis, including reviewing marketing accruals to determine accrual period and assessment of remaining accruals.

• Perform marketing spend analysis by each budget line, isolating and discussing underspends and overspend with respective teams, tracking YTD trends, calling out potential risks and opportunities.

• Support the financial planning process (Plan / Quarterly FCs) by aligning with teams on planned marketing spend, aligning on risks and opportunities and adjusting forecast accordingly.

• Provide monthly inventory and POS support by partnering with respective IT and sales teams, analysing trends and data discrepancies and updating excel and presentation reports accordingly.

• Partnering with Innovation team on New Product Launches, aligning on P&L assumptions, challenging off trend inputs when needed and updating financials accordingly.

• Provide annual financial support for NPDs by partnering with Trade Marketing and Innovation teams, aligning on realistic P&L inputs in forecast and updating planning system accordingly.

• Special projects or analyses as required.

• BS in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA a plus

• 1-3 years accounting or financial analysis at a Consumer Products or Foodservice Company. Alternatively audit or consulting experience in Big 4 or other top firms

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (excellent Excel Skills, a plus)

• Accelerate/Siebel and/or SAP experience preferred

• Excellent Analytical Skills

• Excellent organization skills and ability to understand and analyse data logically

• Ability to work well under pressure, and to complete multiple projects and meet deadlines

• Ability to work with detail

• Excellent oral/written communication skills

• Must be a self-starter and a team player
