Job Description


Working in collaboration with the CEO, this individual will provide leadership in the planning, coordination, oversight and evaluation of the Revelations of Freedom Ministries and Freedom Thrift fundraising, community, and in-house special events. The Event Coordinator is the principal conduit in which all event planning communications are handled. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Increase awareness, support, and recognition of Revelations of Freedom Ministries/Freedom Thrift through the planning and execution of designated special events.
  • Plan, organize and execute special fundraising events:
  • Coordinate with staff such as the CEO and General Manager to ensure needs are met to pull off successful events.
  • Anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, create invitations, media announcements, and sponsor/donor materials. Meet deadlines with little supervision, and ensure coverage/handling of all.
  • Engage staff to help with all logistics during event day, to ensure a smooth event.
  • Promote events through mailings, media placements, publicity packets, posters, local talk radio and other promotional materials.
  • Secure gift-in-kind donations to support/correlate with specific special events.
  • Assist with identify best location and negotiation contract to book needed event space.
  • Secure corporate and other sponsorships to underwrite/offset cost of events.
  • Plan and implement promotion plans, including print production
  • Interface with media; media relations experience is an asset
  • Effectively plan and project manage multiple events simultaneously
  • Create and/or maintain \xe2\x80\x9cEvent Books\xe2\x80\x9d (hard and electronic) that include event Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs), needs, timelines, statistics, costs, de-brief, etc.
  • Maintain necessary files, reports and related documentation:
  • Keep track of event finances including registrations, check requests, invoicing, donations and reporting
  • Close out all events as required
  • Participate in special projects or other duties as requested
  • Attend staff meetings

  • Committed Christian who is ministry-minded, able and willing to share the gospel of Christ through words and actions
  • Active Member of a local Church.
  • Compassionate towards addicted.
  • Able to work well under requirement of deadlines; must be adaptive and have excellent follow through skills.
  • Well organized, flexible with a high level of professionalism with strong project management skills
  • Able to bring energy, creativity, and community relations expertise
  • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with donors and volunteers and managing, supervising and orientating people for events
  • Demonstrates a high level of confidentiality and knowledge of correct protocol for special situations
  • Customer service oriented, able to deal tactfully and appropriately with people
  • Creative in solving problems, bringing improvement, and finding solutions
  • Requires attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multi-task while meeting deadlines
  • Able to understand and willing to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Computer literate with sound proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheets and internet, including email
  • Posture toward learning, not afraid to take initiative, adaptive with a positive attitude
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver\xe2\x80\x99s license with a motor vehicle record
Job Type: Part-time Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour Benefits:
