To provide leadership for the Environmental and Sustainability systems at the manufacturing site in support of a safe and profitable operation that strives to continuously improve and reduce mill impact on the environment.

Responsibilities:

Visibly demonstrate that safety is a value by following safety procedures, maintaining a safe workplace, complying with safety rules, and holding others to the same standard.

Create and foster environmental and sustainability programs that lead to the creation of a culture where safety is recognized as a value.

Ensure site compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), and other federal and state mandated safety regulations.

Complete and file mandatory local and federal environmental and sustainability reports on time.

Demonstrate quality as a core value. Ensure product quality and safety are considered as necessary while performing the duties of this role.

For highly regulated sites, understands and ensures compliance with FDA cGMP regulatory requirements as they relate to CFR 820 (Code of Federal Requirements).

Influence spending at the site to deliver improvements in environmental compliance and sustainability for our people and site to deliver objectives.

Provide support to the leadership team to manage the business cost of environmental and/or sustainability events through continuous improvement of initiatives.

Influence site leaders through education and demonstration of the value of sustainability efforts.

Ensure EHS&S projects are in the pipeline and are forecasted appropriately.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in a Physical Science, Chemistry, Environmental Management OR Equivalent experience of 4+ years of Hazardous Waste, DOT, RCRA, EPCRA, and Waste Management Experience.

Ability to organize and lead by influence a multi-functional team and foster a proactive team environment.

Strong communication, collaboration and influencing skills are desired

Incumbent will have or agree to obtain a current recognized certification such as Hazardous Materials Technician or Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM)

Incumbent would possess current or agree to work obtain DOT/RCRA/HAZWOPER Required Training

Ability to proficiently use and perform key functions of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel software programs
