EHR Specialist

Job Purpose: As the EHR Specialist at Aspire Health Partners, your primary job purpose is to serve as the CRC EHR Navigator to provide information, with discretion and professionalism, to Orange County staff stationed in the CRC area. In addition, you will be expected to engage in functions as a Health Information Technology Solutions (HITS) team member and participate in assisting others at Aspire with tickets and problem resolution related to the EHR.

Job Functions

  • Working closely with several multi-disciplinary departments to determine regulatory requirements and documentation standards to be translated from paper forms and processes to electronic versions.
  • Examine clinical workflow.
  • Look for efficiencies to be gained through the use of computerized record systems.
  • Create, design, test and launch the electronic health record system used by clinicians.
  • Monitor and evaluate healthcare documentation for compliance with all Federal, State, accreditation and contracting bodies, industry best practice standards and internal standards of care.
  • Develop and facilitate the training of clinicians related to clinical documentation and electronic health record system use.
  • Assist in preparation of reports, proposals, and presentations.
  • Provide support through rotational on-call assignments.
  • Most importantly, all functions must be completed while maintaining high standards of ethical and professional conduct while adhering to all company policies and procedures.
Position qualifications: Ability to receive and maintain a(n)
  • Level II Background clearance
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Registration driver\'s license record in accordance with the underwriting guidelines set by Aspire insurance company as described in the AHP Corporate Transportation Policy 3.9.1
  • Bachelor\'s Degree and experience preferred in Health and Human Services (Psychology, Sociology, Nursing, Social Work, Counseling), as well as finesse in health application and information.
