Standard Hours - 100% in office role. Monday-Friday (8:30am-5:00pm)

Competitive Pay - $16.00+ an hour

A day in the role

  • Will do AR follow up on insurance denials and insurance inquiries
  • Will collect payments from insurance companies and patients
  • Post payments to patient accounts
  • Insurance inquiries
  • Post charges to accounts
  • Address patients and insurance companies on the phone and in person about their inquiries
  • Fast remits as well - they come over from the insurance companies and then posting them to the patient accounts
  • Will work 25-50 accounts per day, could be more depending on patient volume for the day
  • Work is divided bi-monthly between the 3 billers:
1. Charge entry - they get paper charges and the fast remits from, entering in charges and payments

2. Remits - posting payments and remits

3. AR follow up - insurance denials, patient and insurance denials, collect payments, follow up on corrected claims (this is the busiest

Necessary Skills and Strengths:

AR Follow-Up EMR/EHR Systems Claims Processing CPT/ICD-10 Codes Rejections/Denials Insurance Payer Knowledge Medical Billing Medical Collections

Core Experience:
  • 2 years of Medical Billing Experience
  • Medicaid, Medicare and Commercial Insurance
  • Minimum: 1 year of Healthcare Administrative Experience
  • AR Follow-Up Experience
  • Claims Processing
  • Insurance Payer Experience
