Summary:
Reports to the Director of the Epicenter and Nursing Operations. Under general supervision and within Lifespan established policies and procedures the Clinical and Operational Transformation Specialist performs diversified duties that help transform nursing care and operations to drive top performance through collection validation and analysis of clinical and operational data and lead performance improvement activities as a result of identified opportunities.

Responsibilities:
Partners with leaders and other key stakeholders to identify opportunities for clinical and operational improvement through the measurement of meaningful data and translation of the data into a clear reporting or presentation format Prepares executive summaries that accurately reflect an analysis of data and key points to be considered Presents data to all levels of leadership as well as front-line staff and includes relevant recommendations for improvement based on standards of practice Lead improvement activities utilizing tools including but not limited to Lean and Six Sigma. Stays current with identifies and presents best practices and other tactics needed to improve performance. Monitors and makes suggestions to improve best practices and their integration into existing systems. Will engage patient care services team members in quality improvement activities and provide education with a strong ability to motivate others. Serves as liaison for Lifespan with informatics and vendor partners to ensure data integrity and to optimize existing data sources and systems. Directs activities that manage systems for clinical productivity and automated staffing. Conducts benchmarking and evaluative studies to provide insights into effectiveness of staff activities. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS-EDUCATION
Bachelor\xef\xbf\xbds degree in Nursing Health Care or Health Science required. QUALIFICATIONS-EXPERIENCE Experience with developing action plans and leading performance improvement activities resulting in improved performance required Must be able to lead and facilitate meetings and project teams independently with participants representing physicians nurses and other patient care and hospital staff. Proficiency with Lifespan EHR Information Systems preferred and other computer modules/applications related to data analysis presentation etc. is required (Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint Visio Minitab). Interpersonal skills to work with all levels of hospital personnel including physicians and to elicit detailed information Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.
