Job Title: Document Control Administrator
Location: Salem, NH

Purpose of Position:

Avon Protection is recognized as a world leader in respiratory and ballistic protection, delivering life critical solutions for Militaries and First Responders worldwide.
The person hired for the position of Document Control Administrator is responsible for following documented procedures to update, route, and release technical documents relating to the configuration of Helmet Products. This person will also assist in developing engineering change proposal documentation which will be submit to customers for product configuration changes. This person will assist in managing the control of records and provide improvement to document control procedures.

Essential Duties and/or Functions:

  • Observe all Safety rules and regulations
  • Observe all Employee Guidelines
  • Administrates document control system by following procedures for reviewing and routing the documents for signature and storage. The employee performs work under general supervision.
  • Prepares and manages Engineering Change Request system and documentation for configuration change requests to customers
  • Administers Engineering Change Order system by ensuring documents are written and routed appropriately based on current processes.
  • Assists in development of process changes for improvement of document control procedures.
  • Completes update of technical documents and drawings with input from engineering.
  • Demonstrate a level of knowledge required to make decisions and adjustments when required, under operational and or quality management oversight.
  • Proactively initiates personal learning in additional work areas, processes and Lean manufacturing practices
  • Create document filing and organizing systems that are both effective and efficient.


This position may require:
  • Weekend work
  • Working overtime
  • Working on holidays as needed
  • Short notice shift coverage


Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher
  • Minimum [2] years of Quality Assurance or Technical Writing experience
  • Skilled user of Microsoft Suite
  • Extremely organized and efficient
  • Experience reading and interpreting 2-D design drawings


Preferred / Desired Skills or Experiences:
  • Associate degree in technical or business-related field
  • (1) year experience with CAD
  • Familiarity with Engineering Change Proposal Process and Configuration Management
  • Detail-oriented and meticulous work ethic
  • Proven skill for creating and implementing controlled document processes
  • High attention to details
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Works well under pressure and is able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Salem, NH is $47,000.00 to $52,000.00 annually. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, type and years of experience within the industry, education, etc.
