Responsibilities: POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES: The Director of Procurement reports to the Vice President, Demand Planning and will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive procurement strategy to optimize the total cost of goods and services within Royal Cup. This role will hire, develop, and manage a strong team of Planners, Buyers, and Purchasing Managers in support of this mission.
As Procurement develops into a key division within the company, the Director of Procurement will be instrumental in leading the transformation and will be required to build the necessary tools, systems, processes, and relationships both internally and externally to implement said changes.
Key Responsibilities include:


  • Collaborate with senior management and executive levels to establish short-term and long-term business objectives for the Procurement function.
  • Lead the development and cross-company alignment of long-term sourcing strategies.
  • Lead the direction, implementation, and management of a comprehensive procure-to-pay process.
  • Direct, lead, and/or coach supplier negotiations jointly with procurement managers and buyers
  • Oversee the development and quality of sourcing activities to deliver the most value to the company.
  • Manage supplier relationships and set supplier performance criteria and standards. Ensure consistent review and continuous improvement of supplier performance.
  • Monitor and manage the planning of supply to ensure the highest level of customer service at the lowest total cost.
  • Direct buying teams to ensure quality products are delivered on time to warehouses as promised.
  • Oversee, develop, and manage compliance with corporate procurement policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of integrity.
  • Staff, manage, and develop a high-performing, motivated team responsible for the development and implementation of \xe2\x80\x9cbest in class\xe2\x80\x9d capabilities, processes, and systems.
  • Demonstrate year-over-year improvement in key process indicators including cost, availability, quality, and efficiency.
  • Recognized as a thought leader with respect to sourcing, procurement, contracting, and negotiations for the company.
  • Develop and implement jointly with legal counsel contract standards that reduce risk and improve corporate positions.

Qualifications: POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree (preferably in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance (or another similar discipline) Master\xe2\x80\x99s in Business Administration preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 to 15 year\xe2\x80\x99s experience in Sourcing, Planning, Procurement, and Logistics, with a solid track record of orchestrating sourcing strategies and initiating and executing total cost reduction improvement programs
  • Successful track record of transforming organizations through change management, process improvement, and process
  • Proven track record of adding value to companies and providing strong contributions to executive leadership.
  • Proven ability to take necessary actions to rectify problems and improve situations, even those outside areas of direct responsibility.
  • Proven ability to analyze, organize, summarize, and articulate complex information to be meaningful and relevant across a variety of audiences.
  • Proven experience as a working manager who excels in a fast-paced environment, handles pressure well and is self-motivated to accomplish assigned tasks timely and efficient.
  • SQL, Python, or other coding language experience highly desired
  • Proven advanced user-level capability with Microsoft Office; Expert level Excel skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills \xe2\x80\x93 inclusive of presentation skills and ability to build relationships with employees, leadership, and external business associates at any level.
  • Significant ERP experience required; previous SAP experience preferred.
  • Six Sigma certification and experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing and Distribution experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as required based on business needs.
  • Ability to successfully complete the pre-employment process.
