Description Phillips Medisize is an end-to-end provider of Innovation, Development and Manufacturing Solutions serving pharmaceutical, diagnostics and medical device customers. Our Hudson, Wisconsin location is seeking a Director of Procurement Americas. This role will report directly to the Sr. Global Supply Chain and Sourcing Director.

What You Will Do In Your Role

• Leads the US based Strategic Sourcing Team
• Responsible for the $600m Direct and Indirect Buy for the MPS division in US/Mexico
• Leverages the Corporate Global Category Management Structure as well as the technical capabilities on the Manufacturing locations to drive Annual Procurement Savings and Improvements
• Leverage the corporate capabilities to improve business performance in the Medical Division of Molex
• Drives the implementation of new capabilities across all the sites involved.
• Generate cost models using collected data from internal and external sources and suppliers
• Proactively evaluate and negotiate various sourcing, supply, and engineering services agreements as necessary to support development and new product introduction
• Represent Supply Chain with internal and customer facing teams
• Builds Strategic Relationships with the strategic part of the vendor base
• Establishes a strong working relationship with the Buyers and Material Managers on the sites.
• Leads and executes the quoting of all materials for Product Development and NPI with the purpose to win new business and get best in-class pricing for all components
• Creates an effective support structure for the Engineering Organization which is working on quotations as well as Industrializations
• Sponsors the support for the Innovation and Development Team
  

The Experience you will bring

Requirements

• MBA and Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in engineering, supply chain or equivalent
• 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Strategic Sourcing Roles
• Experience working in a Globally Matrixed organization
• Previous experience leading and developing others
• Previous negotiation experience
• Experience with SAP or other High Level ERP system

• Previous experience with medical device contract manufacturing
• Ability to assess both long term technological and business viability of suppliers
• Procurement Education is desirable
• Project Management skills

• Leadership skills including ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
