About the Job
The Director will be responsible for the development and execution of innovative integrated communications strategies and programs to support global, regional, and local initiatives for Clinique. Leverage a deep understanding of the global media eco-system including digital, influencers and traditional media, to create compelling storytelling, guide markets and ensure a consistent global brand image is delivered.

About Your Responsibilities

Global Communications strategies that align with brand priorities, elevate brand image and create conversation:

\xc2\xb7 Develop global digitally-integrated strategies and executions against product launch programs and other brand initiatives to support products as well as high traffic moments

\xc2\xb7 Develop strong influencer strategies and guidance across programs for all Clinique categories (makeup, skincare, fragrance) for the local markets to activate to drive brand awareness and consideration

\xc2\xb7 Create and actualize annual Global Communications calendar including launches, media relations and influencer guidelines, product storylines, strategic pitches, events, and partnerships for select product categories.

\xc2\xb7 Partner with Product Marketing/Development, Creative, Social, Education, regional teams and market Communications leads to ensure consistent and compelling communications messages and strategies are created and brand assets are developed

\xc2\xb7 Lead the creation of Clinique press materials and work in partnership with cross functional teams to brief in visual assets for each respective program and ensure asset delivery to markets in a timely manner

\xc2\xb7 Liaise directly with International PR leads to ensure \xe2\x80\x9cbest-in-class\xe2\x80\x9d executions at a local level, consistent with the global brand image

\xc2\xb7 Maintain analytics and budgets

Talent Management:

\xc2\xb7 In partnership with ED, identify and manage Clinique brand ambassadors and global creators.

\xc2\xb7 Identify and manage announcement strategies and cadencing

\xc2\xb7 Craft brand ambassadors\xe2\x80\x99 talking points for interviews and presentations

\xc2\xb7 Lead organization & development of activations with global creators, spokesmodels KOLs, liaising with cross-functional teams where needed

Influencer Marketing Strategies and Activation:

\xc2\xb7 In partnership with ED, develop and continually monitor for updates, talent and influencer strategy to ensure forward thinking and modern approach

\xc2\xb7 Lead identification and execution of global influencer and ambassador partnerships, including storytelling and content creation. Provide identification and outreach guidelines for regions.

\xc2\xb7 Partner closely with social and creative in developing social first campaign strategies (for all channels with special focus on TikTok) for Clinique global channel and lead influencer selection/vetting, briefing and relationship management to ensure best in class execution and strong ROI

\xc2\xb7 Support Manager, Influencer Marketing, in negotiating and executing all external talent contracts, in partnership with Legal.

\xc2\xb7 In partnership with Manager Influencer Marketing, develop earned media strategies for new launches (all categories) including concepts as well as guidelines for tactics like seeding, M&G, masterclasses, events.

\xc2\xb7 Supervise developing always-on influencer seeding strategy to keep brand top of mind, generate ongoing conversation and develop brand loyalists

\xc2\xb7 Partner with Creative on developing brand and products\xe2\x80\x99 visual assets for any influencer marketing related activations

\xc2\xb7 Manage the team of a Manager, Influencer Marketing and interns or freelance support

Event Planning and Management, PR Tools:

\xc2\xb7 Lead and execute with oversight from ED, global events for major launches, develop guidelines for regions

\xc2\xb7 Liaise with external production agencies to ensure brand image and messaging is followed

\xc2\xb7 Oversee development and approval of all press copy (releases, interviews, Q&As, and media alerts); Preparation of all press briefs and event run-of-show documents.

\xc2\xb7 Create and share post event recap including key ROI metrics

\xc2\xb7 Work closely with local markets on local event executions to ensure consistent brand image and ROI

\xc2\xb7 Enhance sharing of best practices globally and encourage optimization of existing initiatives.

Regional and Cross-functional Relationships:

\xc2\xb7 Guide and support Manager, Influencer Marketing in responding to daily requests from all markets, including queries on communications programs, information requests and Global Talent interviews

\xc2\xb7 Develop strong partnerships with key contacts across all functions to ensure Global Communications is consistently recognized as a key player in strategic decision-making for the brand

Analytics and Budgets:

- Oversee global communications and global influencer marketing budget for category and for Global Talent

- Develop and track annual KPIs for key launches and annual performance

- Support regions in ROI driven goals setting, reporting and sharing earned media results in consistent, insightful way

\xc2\xb7 10+ years related work experience in-house, preferably in big matrix organization, with proven blended PR, influencer, and social media skills

\xc2\xb7 College Degree Required

\xc2\xb7 Prestige/luxury brand experience

\xc2\xb7 360 communication programming development and activation

\xc2\xb7 Global experience and understanding of cultural nuances is a must

\xc2\xb7 Experience in working with Talent, including celebrities and Tier 1 influencers is a must

\xc2\xb7 Understanding of global social media and beauty and lifestyle influencer landscape

\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in earned media tracking platforms is a must (experience in Tribe Dynamics and Launch Metrics is a plus)

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $117,000 to $202,100. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
