Position Overview:
Success in the automotive retailing industry has become extremely dependent on digital marketing. For Summit Automotive Partners, digital marketing implies superior expertise and execution in the areas of online advertising, website administration, lead generation from hosted and third-party sources, search effectiveness, including organic and paid, and the use of social media. Success is also measured by the innovative use and application of market intelligence and the rapid adaptations of new technologies to create a competitive advantage.
The successful incumbent in this role will keep a pulse on market trends and industry dynamics and anticipate competitive threats to capitalize on market opportunities.
Compensation for this role is $70,000 to $80,000 annually based on experience and qualifications
Essential Functions:
Execution:
  • Communicate clear objectives to build effective, efficient, economical, and measurable digital marketing plans
  • Field dealership needs and questions
  • Define roles and responsibilities against the scope of work with all parties
  • Develop and execute go-to digital market strategy, including:
Social Media
  • Websites
  • Blog/Content
  • Paid Social Media
  • Paid Search
Search Engine Optimization
  • One-to-one consumer communications (Dealer Socket, Direct mail, e-blast, text)
  • Negotiate vendor contracts and sponsorships \xe2\x80\x93 execute needs
  • Provide Director of Marketing budget planning and field adjustments where needed to meet traffic goals for digital tactics.
  • Assemble and develop a high-performance / responsive team of digital marketing specialists to support objectives accomplishment.
  • Protect the proprietary nature of the business and maintain strict managerial confidentiality
  • Demonstrate competency and effectiveness in managing all aspects of digital marketing channels
Innovation
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies, trends, and applications
  • Champion the application of available technologies to the competitive environment
  • Assist stores in operational refinements \xe2\x80\x93 ease, accuracy
Vendor Relations
  • Manage, monitor, and evaluate the support of vendor networks
  • Utilize outside services and specialized marketing partners to improve knowledge and market position
  • Leverage industry experts and networks for outside perspective and detailed analysis
  • Negotiate and/or re-negotiate contracts for economy of scale/major market accounts where possible
Evaluation:
  • Review/Analyze data \xe2\x80\x93 Sales, Market Share, Web stats, Lead Reports, Call Tracking
  • Assist in the development of core benchmark goals, driven by key digital marketing objectives
  • Assess current and potential partners
  • analyze their service and align with needs
  • re-negotiate contracts
  • brainstorm efficiencies for cost savings or increased service inclusions
  • Audit dealership digital consumer communications and online customer reviews
  • Develop and implement market research
Keep a continual pulse on competition and innovation:
  • Automotive and alternate segments outside the auto industry
  • assess market opportunities
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree or equivalate work experience
  • Experience leading a team in a fast-paced environment
  • 3 to 5 years of working and communicating with clients focused on digital marketing, data, operations, and/or advertising performance conversation
Additional Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen for illegal substances
  • Authorized to work in the United States
