StandardAero Components & Accessories ("SACS") sector is an almost $500M annual revenue business, focused on the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul ("MRO") of commercial and military engine components and accessories.

As a Data Analysis Manager, you\'ll apply your skills to improve business outcomes and align data findings with enterprise strategy, all with the aim of creating leverage over competitors, and improving services, both internal and external. The selected candidate will find analytical insights, to effectively tell the story supported by data, and ultimately provide tangible business value by leveraging data and business knowledge.

This position will support both the Business Operations and Finance teams in the design and development of standard and ad hoc reporting. Assignment covers rebate analysis, royalty analysis, pricing analysis, annual planning, monthly financial rollups, cost analysis, and other ad hoc assignments. The data analysis manager needs to be hyper-focused on optimization: this is done through business analysis and assessment, determining accuracy of data, comprehensive reporting, and visualization, and monitoring how the reporting and understanding of data works towards improving processes.

The successful candidate will possess a high degree of commercial and financial acumen, an entrepreneurial spirit, change management experience, a collaborative and compelling leadership style, a strong bias for action and a solid background with demonstrated results in operational excellence.

The position reports to the SACS Director, Business Operations.

What you\'ll do:

  • Spearheading requested analytical initiatives as well as ones created organically via data exploration.
  • Troubleshoot data and analytics issues and perform root cause analysis to proactively resolve issues;
  • Design, develop and implement sophisticated data analytic solutions to ensure the ongoing integrity of our revenue stream and customer experience;
  • Influencing executives with recommended actions based on your insights by effectively telling the story that is supported by data through presentations (PowerPoint), data visualizations (Domo), and clear and concise verbal and written communications skills.
  • Working closely with various business stakeholders to uncover their business needs and the true questions that the company is trying to answer.
  • Occasionally using SQL and/or liaising with SACS IT to get the data needed for your team\'s analysis.
  • Assessing the quantitative and qualitative impacts of possible actions based on discovered insights, taking into consideration our customers, our employees, and our company.
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders across StandardAero

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree or higher in analytics, economics, business, mathematics, engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • 3-5 years\' experience in Data Analysis, Finance, Operations, or Business Development roles.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, the ability to generate business cases and to execute financial plans.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and an eye for detail.
  • Strong knowledge of StandardAero products, processes, and customer requirements
