Work Location: Batavia, IL
This role is eligible to participate in ALDI\xe2\x80\x99s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 3 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 3 days per week and in-office at least 2 days per week).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Understands complex business issues and identifies appropriate analytical methods to solve them.
- Leverages data analytics software to extract, clean, analyze, and visualize data, generating insights and predictions to drive company initiatives and support strategic business decisions.
- Maintains existing reporting that must be updated on a regular basis (Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly, etc).
- Supports reviews that occur on a regular basis (Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly, etc).
- Automates regularly scheduled processes to improve team efficiency.
- Recommends, produces, presents, and helps develop Assortment Planning metrics, logic, and methodologies to improve Assortment Planning decisions.
- Leads analysis of product level data to produce plans, forecasts, and recommendations for cross-functional teams.
- Performs detailed financial analysis on company initiatives, yielding actionable insights such as Return on Investment (ROI) and sales/customer count growth.
- Analyzes primary and secondary data, providing regular updates on internal metrics (KPIs) and external market/shopper metrics.
- Maintains strong documentation standards.
- Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to leadership.
- Contributes actively to the data science knowledgebase at ALDI.

- A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in Analytics required.
- Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
- Competence in learning new database schema and developing SQL queries required.
- Competence in data analysis in Excel required.
- Experience automating data analysis in R or another programming language preferred.
- Experience in data visualization and storytelling in Tableau or another software program preferred.
- Experience analyzing retail KPIs, conducting quantitative research, and gleaning insights preferred.
- Work is performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform duties.
- Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.
- Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse.
- Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs.
