Role Description
Corporate Counsel will be responsible for providing legal support to one or more Business Units (for example, Livestock, Equine, etc. within U.S. Commercial Operations for Zoetis. This position will report to the Senior Director & Corporate Counsel for Zoetis\xe2\x80\x99 U.S. Operations.

Responsibilities:
Serve as strategic business partner to commercial operations teams within Business Unit; provide general commercial advice and legal support to business organizations as needed.

• Counsel and advise respective product and brand teams, provide regulatory law support, serve on the advertising & promotional review committee, risk management
• Negotiate and draft an extensive range of agreements, including distribution, supply, service, consulting and employment, marketing and sales agreements, and other commercial contracts.
• Counsel commercial and channel management teams regarding antitrust, trade compliance and other compliance issues as appropriate.
• Protect the Company through compliance training, SOP review and counseling.

Organizational Relationships:
This position will primarily interact with the various commercial teams (for example, Sales, Marketing, Product teams, etc.) within one or more U.S. Business Units (e.g., Livestock, Equine, etc.)

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school, demonstrated academic achievement and current bar membership in good standing
• 3-5 years of legal experience required (meaningful time in private practice with prominent law firm or some in-house experience preferred).
• Must have significant commercial transaction experience, including demonstrated ability to review, analyze, negotiate, and draft agreements.
• Strong knowledge of antitrust laws, privacy, and intellectual property law is a plus, but not required.

Technical Skills and Requirements:

• Should exhibit strong leadership, project management and interpersonal skills, including ability to interact well with senior management team.
• Should possess sound and practical business judgment and decision-making skills
• Should exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Should have superior organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
