Automotive manufacturer is seeking a hands-on Controller. Daily you will lead a small team of accounting professionals and will report to the Plant Manager. Daily activities will include, but not be limited to:

• Leading, motivating and coaching a small team of accountants
• Coordinating all reporting and consolidation of the financials
• Preparing daily, weekly and monthly requested financial reports in company ERP system and MS Excel
• Completing and finalizing all activities for monthly, quarterly and year-end closing of books, including G/L review, journal entry review and posting, and consolidation of financials and analysis
• Improving accounting processes, guidelines and KPIs
• Planning and analyzing forecasts, budgets and financials
• Performing profit planning, including monitoring the rolling forecast
• Supplying the company with accurate and timely financial data
• Tracking capital project and fixed asset management
• Partnering daily with engineering and operations to supply timely accounting data
• Tracking cost saving activities for the site
• Performing cost analysis, including establishing standard cost, setting up cost programs and calculating machine and overhead rates
• Completing special accounting projects based on requests of the Plant Manager and President
• Completing other tasks as requested by management

This is a hands-on position that includes heavy financial analysis. Candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced work environment, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be detailed in their analysis and be able to take ownership of projects. There is minimal administrative support for this position. Individuals will be required to educate all levels of staff on accounting and financial information. Requirements for the Controller: * Bachelor\'s degree in a related field, ideally finance or accounting

• At least 3-5 years in a similar manufacturing Controller position
• Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing environments
• Working knowledge of budgeting and forecasting
• Experience with month and year-end closing
• Experience with inventory analysis
• Experience performing month, quarter and year-end functions
• ERP experience
• Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

Skills preferred, but not required: * Automotive supplier experience

• MBA
• Experience supervising, coaching and mentoring others
• Capital expenditure experience
• Asset management
