External Reporting is looking for a Controller to manage and oversee Intel\'s Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings. In this role, the candidate will be the primary leader of Intel\'s disclosure practices, developing an understanding and skills to support management\'s financial messaging in compliance with the requirements of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and Securities and Exchange Commission. The External Reporting team which is part of the broader Corporate Controller\'s organization within the Chief Accounting Office, is responsible for delivering some of the most important external facing communications Intel prepares on a quarterly and annual basis: Intel\'s earnings releases, and quarterly and annual reports filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The candidate will balance the overall review and ownership of quarterly reporting, while maintaining a big picture view of how the most significant transactions and industry trends impact Intel\'s financial performance and its financial reporting. Will partner closely with Corporate Accounting, Investor Relations, Corporate Legal, Corporate Planning, Business Unit Finance, and Executive Communications and will have frequent exposure to senior finance leaders.

Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:
  • Lead and manage the preparation of high-quality periodic reports as part of Intel\'s Form 10-Q, 10-K, and Earnings Releases.
  • Ensure our financial statement disclosures consistently provide high-quality, timely, reliable, and relevant information for users of our financial statement.
  • Lead and manage the External Reporting team (four individuals) to facilitate prioritization of workload, on-the-job training, and the free exchange of ideas; recruit, coach, and evaluate employees in a team environment.
  • Report quarterly to the Disclosure Committee which includes the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and other senior leaders.
  • Prepare quarterly Audit and Finance Committee meeting materials.
  • Review earnings materials and provide insights throughout the earnings process.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and legal counsel in the review of other regulatory filings such as: Registration Statements, Proxy Statement, and other external disclosure of Intel\'s financial information.
  • Oversee Intel\'s non-GAAP policy and reporting.
  • Engage in ad hoc reporting consultations with various business partners.
  • Engage with corporate responsibility and sustainability teams on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) related reporting.
  • Monitor existing and emerging financial accounting and reporting requirements, assessing the applicability to Intel.
  • Identify opportunities and implement improvements to the SEC reporting process that enhance efficiency and effectiveness continuing to be a leader in reporting best practices.
  • Partner with various business partners to support the external reporting requirements implications of various transactions, modernization projects, strategic transformational activities, etc.

Qualifications


Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Minimum Qualifications:
  • CPA or equivalent, with 10+ years of experience working in areas such as technical accounting, SEC reporting, and/or external auditing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Public Accounting experience.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $125,280.00-$200,080.00
  • Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience


Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
