Job Title: Controller

Location: Plantation, FL

Working with a growing private company that is seeking a highly skilled Controller with public accounting experience to join the team. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial reporting, month end and year end closing activities for the complex organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting, experience in a large private company, and a proven track record of success in managing an Accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes in accordance with GAAP and company policies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic plans that drive business growth and improve financial performance.

• Ensure that financial statements are accurate and comply with all legal and regulatory requirements.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with external auditors and other key stakeholders, including investors, lenders, and board members.

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.

• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of accounting professionals, including hiring, training, and development.

• Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed, including mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, and integration activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s degree in accounting or finance required; Masters Degree Preferred.

CPA License

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in public accounting, with at least 4 years for privately held company.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles, as well as experience with financial reporting and analysis.

• Demonstrated success in managing financial operations and leading teams.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex financial information to a variety of stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.

• High level of integrity and ethical standards.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Experience with ERP systems and other financial software tools.
