Aerodyne Industries is currently seeking a Contracts Manager who will be responsible for leading a team of subcontract administrators and buyers to support the program office and various projects at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) in Greenbelt, MD. All candidates must meet the 22 CFR 120.15 definition of U.S. Persons

General Description of Position
The Contract Manager develops, negotiates, and administers T&M, Labor Hour, Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursable/Award and Fixed Fee type Subcontracts, Non-disclosure Agreements and Teaming Agreements consistent with government client requirements in accordance with the company, and FAR/DFAR procurement policies and procedures.

Duties:

  • Leads subcontracting support element.
  • Coordinates pre-award subcontract proposal functions and make decisions regarding subcontract management approach.
  • Coordinates proposal process.
  • Conducts a thorough review of prime solicitations ensuring the subcontract RFP contains all appropriate flow-downs and requirements.
  • Provides guidance to project teams to ensure contract requirements are met.
  • Maintains accurate contract records, including contract modifications, correspondence, and reports
  • Manages the contract lifecycle, including contract initiation, execution, and closeout
  • Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures related to government contracts
  • Performs contract risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies
  • Works closely with government officials, contractors, and subcontractors to facilitate communication and collaboration
  • Evaluates subcontract proposals for compliance and risks to the solicitation ensuring all aspects to requirements are considered from pricing or cost to include the management volume.
  • Performs price and cost analysis, resulting from negotiation of price/cost and price/cost-related terms and other subcontract or other agreement provisions.
  • Supports post -award subcontract management, ensuring compliance with required performance criteria and create and implement effective acquisition strategies.
  • Advises management of potential improvements or new approaches.
Job Requirements: \xe2\x80\xa2 Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited university
  • 10+ years of experience as a Contract Manager with a government contractor
  • 3 - 5 years of Supervisory skills.
  • Understanding of the government contracting process, contract interpretation and governance
  • Basic understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency supplements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Superior reading, writing and language skills
