As a vital member of the Pediatric Learning Solutions team, the Continuing Education Manager plays a crucial role in developing and enhancing interactive online courses tailored for pediatric nursing staff. Additionally, they oversee the management of organizational accreditation status, ensuring compliance with standards set by JAICE and other accrediting organizations.

  • Manage assigned educational products through their lifecycle providing leadership and overall direction and vision.
    • Lead the Advisory Committee to identify and address gaps in pediatric nurse education.
    • Strategically design and develop instructional content and blended learning solutions for designated product lines and initiative-specific topics.
    • Regularly review and update content and curriculum to ensure offerings consistently uphold a standard of relevance, clarity, and comprehensiveness.
  • Oversee and manage the Continuing Education (CE) strategy for CHA, ensuring all offerings meet accreditation standards.
  • Maintain CHA\'s Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education\xe2\x84\xa2 (JAICE) accreditation status through specified re-accreditation processes (e.g., self-study, application, and assembling required data) as directed by JAICE.
    • Train CHA staff to ensure proper protocol is followed when awarding CE to individual programs; run periodic audits to ensure compliance.
    • Compiles documentation of CE program quality/outcome impact (patient data/learner performance/organizational effectiveness) through collation of existing educational outcome data and ongoing learner long-term outcome surveys and determines if changes to education programming need to be recommended.

Experience and Skills: What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Bring to CHA
  • Active RN license.
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in nursing required; master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in nursing or related field, required.
  • Clinical nursing experience required; pediatric experience is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience developing continuing education programs for nurses or other health care professionals; experience with ANCC, ACCME and/or JAICE strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of education and effective design principles that promote learning.
  • Knowledge of processes and procedures required to certify content for continuing education.
  • Strong group facilitation skills.
  • Experience beneficial to the role, but not required:
    • Experience with adult learning theory.
    • Knowledge of improvement methodology and concepts.
