Job Title: Communications Specialist Wage/Hour Status: Nonexempt Reports to: Director of Communications Pay Grade: CP07 Dept./Division: Central Office Contract Days: 226 Primary Purpose: Execute and support the communication strategies of Medina Valley ISD through the creation of video, photo, graphic design, website and other forms of content with an emphasis on video production under the leadership of the Communication Director. Qualifications:
Education/Certification: Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree (preferred) Special Knowledge/Skills: Experience and training with current video production techniques, including computer-generated graphics and animation, as well as computer-based editing Knowledge of modern lighting and audio equipment Experience using Adobe Premier and/or Final Cut Pro Demonstrated ability to take a project from concept to completion with minimal supervision and direction Proficient skills in basic graphic design, writing and editing Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment Experience: Prefer a minimum of two years working experience in video production Prefer a minimum of one year of experience working in communications, public relations, journalism or marketing with proven storytelling ability Major Responsibilities and Duties:

• Under the direction of the Communications Director, produce district-level video content from concept to completion, including all necessary scripting, filming, content and overall creative design
• Remain under current trends, new technologies and software for video production and distribution
• Assist the Communications Department with management of the website, including updating on a regular basis to provide an accurate and timely source of information
• Assist the Communications Department with photography as needed
• Create or assist in the production of visual graphics to be used in video, web, social media or other applications
• Responsible for keeping current on FM Drone Regulations and obtaining/maintaining certification
• Other duties as assigned.
