Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of delinquent accounts.
Contact debtors via phone, email, and written correspondence to discuss payment options.
Negotiate payment arrangements while following client standards and federal regulations.
Document all collection activities and debtor communications accurately.
Provide outstanding customer service by addressing debtor inquiries and concerns.
Use skip tracing tools to locate hard-to-reach debtors.
Qualifications
Strong negotiation, persuasion, and conflict-resolution skills.
Excellent verbal/written communication and active listening skills.
Ability to remain professional during difficult conversations.
Detail-oriented with solid organizational/time management skills.
Reliable and flexible to work days, evenings, or weekends.
Basic computing skills (MS Office, CRM, collections software).
High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred).
0-1 years of experience in collections or customer service, ideally in finance/credit.
Familiarity with debt collection laws and compliance requirements.
