Job Description


Overview

VPCH is looking for an analyst to support the electronic medical record. This position will support the design of new components of the electronic medical record, coordinate with the DMH IT Managers related to design, build and testing of new components. The candidate will participate in all IT projects that impact the Clinical areas and provide support to the clinical staff throughout the entire project for design, build, testing, training, and implementation. The candidate will have a good working knowledge of the computer applications and provide support for all information systems used in inpatient areas. The candidate will provide security administrator support to Nursing staff and work closely with Nursing Supervisors to assure Nursing staff has appropriate access to computer systems. Design, produce and distribute reports from information systems both routinely and as required.

This position is eligible to perform duties in a hybrid work environment, that is, a combination of remote work from home and in-person office work. There will be a three (3) week on-site orientation requirement and with a minimum two (2) weeks\' notice, incumbents would be required to report to the worksite for periods of up to two (2) consecutive weeks. As the hospital is a 24/7 operation, having the position onsite some of the time is necessary for operational needs, to meet in person with stakeholders.

Environmental Factors

In addition to providing support during their normal workday, this position provides availability for technical support services and consultation on a rotational basis with other DMH personnel. This includes being available during all non-business hours, to include weekends and holidays. Support includes telephone, e-mail, and in-person requests for assistance to users experiencing issues with using the system.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree in healthcare informatics or a healthcare program, in nursing, or another information technology field, AND three (3) years or more of clinical informatics related experience (i.e., managing, developing, implementing, and/or supporting clinical information systems).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with electronic medical/healthcare records, Evident or other enterprise
  • Experience in a clinical environment
  • Possession of, or eligible for, licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Vermont OR eligible to practice in the state of Vermont via a multi-state license, or other clinical license or credentialing (e.g., radiological technology, medical technology, respiratory, occupational, physical therapy, or pharmacy)
  • Project management experience
