Description: We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a passionate youth worker with a focus on customized support/case management for BBBSTC participants. Could that be you? Come help us create and contribute to mentoring relationships that support the power and promise of youth. As a Match Engagement coordinator, you will play a key role in providing high-quality mentoring and youth development services to BBBS\xe2\x80\x99 participants in its community-based program, with the goal of ensuring safe, positive and healthy mentoring relationships for youth that result in positive long-term outcomes. You will report to the Manager of Match Engagement. Job Details Start Date: As soon as possible Location: Hybrid with in office requirement in Minneapolis, MN Hiring Salary Range: $46,000-$50,000 Starting salary will depend on your skills and demonstrated readiness for the role. Hours/Day: Monday-Friday, 40+ hours a week \xe2\x80\x93 including evenings, and weekends. Most work falls roughly between the hours of 10am-7pm dependent on participant availability. Job Type: Full Time, Exempt Essential Job Functions
  • Provide customized support and case management to volunteers, youth and parents/guardians
  • Support an age range of youth from eight through eighteen/high school graduation
  • Coordinate & facilitate match introductions at the BBBS office, in the community, virtually, and in certain cases families home
  • Complete assigned monthly and quarterly caseload support contacts (over the phone, email, or in-person) with parents/guardians, mentees, and mentors
  • Continually assess match relationships, focusing on: child safety, match relationship development, positive youth development, family engagement, and participant satisfaction
  • Properly document match progress notes in the agency database. Maintain accurate and timely records for each match according to standards and utilize technology to report, synthesize and analyze data
  • Apply strategic interventions to address and resolve any conflict and barriers once identified
  • Connect participants with other staff, community resources, training opportunities, and referrals, as appropriate
  • Review surveys from parents/guardians, youth, and volunteers to assess support needs, the match relationship, and youth outcomes
  • In collaboration with the Manager of Program Events, plan and facilitate a variety of programs, activities, trainings and events for program participants
  • Support additional projects, as determined, in collaboration with supervisor
2. Provide customized support to Spanish speaking families of BBBSTC, at a team level
  • Represent BBBSTC at agency events required by job functions \xe2\x80\x93 at the event act as primary contact and liaison to Spanish families and participants This will include receiving the first opportunity to table at Spanish speaking community engagement events that may qualify for additional pay.
  • On behalf of your team, answer and redirect incoming communication (includes \xe2\x80\x9cI speak Spanish" on the Our Team page of the website)
  • Support members of your team as a resource on behalf of Spanish speaking families
  • Foster accessibility and inclusion for Spanish speaking families families with a Customer Experience focus
  • Proactively identify gaps and areas of opportunity and feedback from Spanish speaking community
  • Maintain and update translated materials for internal needs as applicable to current job functions including working with certified translators
  • Provide customized support from your team based on identified needs of the Spanish speaking community
3. Create a positive public awareness of BBBS and contribute to the overall success of the agency in order to achieve the BBBS mission.
  • Maintain knowledge of community needs, resources, and networks
  • Work collaboratively to achieve results as specified in the annual business plan
  • Develop and maintain sensitivity to employee and constituent diversity, and demonstrate cultural competence in the workplace and in the services provided by the agency
  • Positively represent BBBS in the larger community
  • Support the Advancement Department in recruitment, fundraising, and communication efforts as needed
  • Support the Programs Department with agency-wide initiatives and events as needed

  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in social services or related field, or the following combination of experience in social work, counseling, social services, child development, or other related fields:
  • Within 6 months of completing bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree
  • AA degree and 4 years relevant work experience
  • No degree, 8 years of relevant work experience
  • Assessment, case management and/or relationship development experience with child and adult populations (and preferably with volunteers as well)
  • Comfortable and experienced with facilitation of groups and youth programming
  • Written and verbal fluency in the required languages: \xe2\x80\x98insert language\xe2\x80\x99 and English
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work both in a team and independently, to exercise good judgment, make sound decisions & problem solve
  • Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external constituents
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • A strong commitment to quality and results
  • Must be able to travel occasionally out in the community and meet deadlines
  • Must have reliable transportation; and/or valid drivers\xe2\x80\x99 license and current auto insurance that meets minimum requirement
  • Must be available to work nights and weekends; willingness to schedule around participant availability
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills in both specified languages\xe2\x80\x99
  • Experience using both languages in a professional capacity is highly preferred
Physical Requirements This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines and filing cabinets. This role must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
