The Airport Budget and Grants Coordinator performs detailed financial analysis, manages budget activities, and provides logistical support for the department; including but not limited to tracking department revenue, expenses, and inventory.

Major Duties

  • Manages the department budget, reconciles revenues and expenses, along with reconciling all financial activities, and provides timely feedback to the Airport Manager.
  • Requests grant funds, prepares periodic reporting of grant project activities, and reconciles revenues and expenses from grant project activities.
  • Enters requisitions, distributes purchase orders, monitors department inventory, and orders supplies as needed.
  • Receives, and processes invoices to the City Finance Department.
  • Maintains appropriate records of the department\'s fixed assets.
  • Helps maintain appropriate files and records needed to maintain Airport compliance.
  • Prepares monthly statistical reporting for the Airport Manager
  • Helps prepare documentation for submittal to CMO.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of basic administrative and clerical systems and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial accounting software.
  • Knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and inventory principles and practices.
  • Skill in prioritizing work and time management.
Minimum Education and Experience:
  • Associate degree in business, accounting, management, or a combination of applicable college-level coursework with relatable accounting, budgeting business work experience.
  • Three years of comparable work-related experience that reflects progressive responsibility in the areas of accounting, budgeting, or business management.
  • Possession of a valid driver\'s license issued by the State of North Carolina.
Supplemental Information
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift, up to 20 pounds routinely and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to navigate oneself throughout the various areas of the Airport in a safe manner.
