CAMPUS EVENT AND VISIT COORDINATOR- NORTH (Lyndon, Johnson, and Williston campus) Grade: 12 FLSA: EXEMPT BARGAINING UNIT: VSC UP - PAT BASIC FUNCTION Serves as a key member of the Admissions & Enrollment Marketing team as the primary person responsible for the development and implementation of all undergraduate and graduate admissions events, co-managing the training and oversight of student workers, ownership of campus visitors, group visits and the maintenance and analysis of event traffic. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the coordination, management and implementation of both in person and virtual admission events (on-campus: admitted student days, open houses, information sessions; off-campus: counselor events and regional prospective student events for both undergraduate and graduate student populations)
  • Provide operational support for on-campus events, including but not limited to outreach to faculty and staff for presentations, managing budget for events, scheduling student workers, preparing materials for visitors and working with offices across campus to coordinate event set up needs
  • Analytical assessment of all on and off campus events, this includes but not limited to open Houses, yield events, and counselor events
  • Coordinate the prospective student visit program by scheduling individual appointments with faculty, coaches, etc. for guests, communicating ahead of time with guests so their visit needs are met by working with campus hosts to ensure a positive guest experience throughout visit
  • Serve as point of contact for outside high school groups or community-based organizations looking to visit campus
  • Build out admissions events in SLATE (CRM) and work with the enrollment marketing team to promote attendance. Utilize SLATE capabilities to plan and evaluate for optimal performance.
  • Regularly survey admissions visitor to assess event satisfaction, developing questionnaires when necessary
  • Regularly collaborate and communicate with the Campus Event and Visit Coordinator-North
  • Oversee the student tour guide and ambassador this includes coordinating daily campus visits, organizing and training student workers, creating work-shift schedules, and directing the day-to-day management of all student workers
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
SUPERVISION RECEIVED General supervision and direction are received from the Associate Director of Admission. SUPERVISION EXERCISED Oversee the student tour guide and ambassadors. Hires new student employees, schedules student employee work hours and grants time-off, evaluates student employee performance, develops, coaches and counsels student employees, takes disciplinary actions, and provides recommendations on handling student employee concerns and complaints. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree
  • Two (2) years progressive leadership experience in higher education admissions or enrollment management, or similar field such as business development, continuous improvement, marketing, or supply chain from which comparable skills can be derived.
  • Current, valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and insurable driving record.
  • Flexible Schedule.
  • Willingness to travel, primarily within the state of Vermont
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Three (3) or more or more years of admissions experience with some event planning
  • Hands-on experience with a customer relationship management system such as SLATE and student information system such as Colleague.

  • In-depth knowledge of admissions operations, VSC experience desirable.
  • Specialized knowledge and skills related to specific areas of responsibility.
