Advertising Sales Manager

Job Description


The primary role is to find new and maintain current relationships with our advertising partners. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the sales funnel from prospecting, all the way through to account management. The ideal candidate should be able to adapt to new and unique challenges, learn quickly, and be analytically focused.

Core Competencies:
  • Analytics \xe2\x80\x93 manage to each accounts\xe2\x80\x99 core metrics using the various analytic tools and resources available \xe2\x80\x93 STRONG Excel experience, including pivot tables, and familiarity with an Analytics software preferred. Domo Analytics experience, a plus.
  • Business Development - prospect and develop new relationships via LinkedIn, tradeshows and other traditional methods (phone, email, etc.).
  • Relationship Management - nurture and grow a large book of existing accounts (20+) as well as any and all self-onboarded partners.
  • Continual Education \xe2\x80\x93 staying attuned to all market and industry trends to be able to educate your accounts on issues, performance, fluctuations, regulations, etc.
  • Operations - facilitate and ensure that contracts and integration documents are completed in a timely manner with our compliance, production and development teams.
  • Teamwork \xe2\x80\x93 Because so many departments are required to turn a prospect into an account, we prefer a \xe2\x80\x9cteam-based\xe2\x80\x9d as opposed to a \xe2\x80\x9cdog-eat-dog\xe2\x80\x9d sales environment.
  • Communication \xe2\x80\x93 Strong communication skills are essential. You will be interacting with clients on a daily basis.
  • Travel \xe2\x80\x93 Must be willing to travel up to 10% of the time for trade shows and in-person client meetings and events.
Daily/Weekly Duties:
  • Campaign Management \xe2\x80\x93 Oversee all campaign performance for your book of accounts.
  • Metric Goals \xe2\x80\x93 Maintain performance goals on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis.
  • S.W.O.T. Analysis \xe2\x80\x93 Recognize problems and find opportunities for new and existing customers.
  • Reporting \xe2\x80\x93 Report to the VP of Sales to coordinate effective strategies and execute on new opportunities.
  • Questioning \xe2\x80\x93 ASK QUESTIONS \xe2\x80\x93 We cannot bring on a candidate that won\xe2\x80\x99t ask questions.
  • Negotiating \xe2\x80\x93 In addition to asking questions, the ideal candidate must have excellent negotiation skills.
Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor\'s degree, or experience equivalent.
  • Proven track record of Y.o.Y improvement
  • Ability to perform and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic company.
  • Experience within the financial services, lending or Internet-based lead generation industries, a plus.
