Key Role: Assist the government acquisition program office with acquisition planning and execution. Provide analytic and management support to the Air Force (AF) to ensure current and future programs meet DoD capability and interoperability requirements. Assist with producing executive-level briefings, information papers, and presentations for senior DoD leaders to inform critical decisions on investment strategies and major acquisition milestones. Coordinate with resource sponsors, program offices, and other stakeholders to assess requirements, capabilities, acquisition strategies, and programming proposals for alignment with AF strategic guidance. Assist with tracking and assessing impacts and risks of program or system changes and new technologies on resource plans and requirements. Apply knowledge of the defense acquisition process to support clients in the analysis and improvement of acquisition process policy and procedures. Devise innovative strategies for deploying and implementing new acquisition policy initiatives and measure the effectiveness of implementation. Use quantitative analytical techniques to assess system acquisition process issues and develop risk reduction and mitigation approaches for improving acquisition or program planning, control, and execution.
