Job Description

Robert Half has an excellent and immediate opening for an Accounting Manager at a well-established nonprofit organization. In this position, you will be responsible for leading daily operations such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. Ideally, you will be able to establish and scale company accounting and finance operations. Located in the Dedham, Massachusetts area, this Accounting Manager position would be on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

- Prepare balance sheets and income statement

- Drive and manage accounting performance of the close process to meet close deadlines

- Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements through data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes

- Possess a thorough knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

Requirements

- Strong familiarity with financial statement preparation

- Solid understanding of month end closings

- Proven knowledge of non-profit fund accounting

- Private Grants experience highly desired

- Nonprofit Organizations experience

- Financial Statement experience preferred

- Strong problem solving and analytical skills

- Recent relevant financial experience in a nonprofit environment

- Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

- Reliable technology and analytical abilities

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset
