Job Title: Accounting Manager Department: Finance
Who You Are
The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. Provides technical and administrative supervision. Provides analytical support regarding financial statements and general ledger. Develops processes and procedures to drive department efficiencies. What You\'ll Do
  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, financial reporting, and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records and reports by reviewing and reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries, and maintaining an adequate system of internal controls.
  • Prepare financial statements and other reports for management, shareholders, and regulatory agencies.
  • Working knowledge of accounting for multiple subsidiaries, multi-currencies, and intercompany transactions.
  • Ensures the company complies with all tax regulations, including income/franchise, sales and use tax, and payroll tax compliance.
  • Provide guidance and support to the accounting staff, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
  • Identifies areas for improvement in the accounting process and implements changes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, including forecasting and analysis.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information.
  • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of current accounting principles and regulations and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor\'s degree in accounting or finance.
  • NetSuite experience is strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • CPA designation is preferred, but not required.
