Job Description
CASEWV is seeking applicants for Weatherization Technician, for the Weatherization program to effectively complete home improvements under the Weatherization program for area families in Southeastern West Virginia including Mercer, Monroe, Raleigh, and Summers counties. Technicians weatherize homes in an organized and effective manner under supervision on homes. High School Diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and must be able to lift 50lbs, climb ladders, work on roof and work in confined areas on low-income family homes. Experience in HVAC is a plus, but not necessary. Training in weatherization labor skills will be provided. This is a full-time position out of the Raleigh County Weatherization Warehouse in Midway, WV.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for assisting crew supervisor in all phases of weatherization and related work. Assist in loading and unloading materials and tools daily on vehicle for the job. Attend training classes when scheduled/receive required certification Responsible for tools, equipment, materials and vehicle used while performing work duties. Report loss and/or damaged materials or tools. Responsible for cleaning and maintaining vehicles, tools/equipment and warehouse as necessary.
DUTIES:
Install all weatherization materials to by the State Weatherization Standards (SWS) Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment on vehicles Use blower door, co tester and other technical testing required by state Demonstrate safety at all times Perform other duties deemed by the Program Director/Supervisor
