Insulation/Weatherization Technician

JT Energy LLC is looking for a new crew member who has previous knowledge of insulation and carpentry work. The right candidate will be looking to expand their knowledge in the field & may be required to achieve certain certifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Measure & cut insulation to fit walls & weatherize homes Installing loose-fill cellulose, dense-pack cellulose, and fiberglass Installing windows, weather stripping, lightbulbs, caulking, spackling, and drywalling Air sealing attics and basements in single and multifamily homes Working in CT & Mass locations with a team of 2-3 installers Complete projects & installations within a timely manner while maintaining quality work Plan for materials & resources required to complete job tasks Complete work up to Energize CT & Mass Save standards Responsible for completing proper documentation for each job Must be able to work in tight, sometimes cluttered places Must be able to work in high places on ladders or scaffolding
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS

Requirements:

Valid driver's License High school diploma or GED Clean driving record Reliable transportation Must be able to pass a drug test Pre-employment screening Previous insulation, weatherization, and light carpentry experience
Preferred:

Multifamily Certification BPI Building Analyst OSHA 10 Envelope Certification CT LRRP Certification Mass CSL License(s) Mass LRRP Certification Crew Chief Certification
Work Location: Multiple Locations in CT & Mass

Office/Shop Location: Somers, CT

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
